Invoice processing software takes over the retyping and circulating of purchase invoices. The difference between packages lies in recognition, approval and the integration with your accounting.

Frequently asked questions about invoice processing software
What is the difference between invoice processing and invoicing?
Invoice processing is about incoming invoices that you have to pay. Invoicing is about invoices that you send yourself; for that you use invoicing software.
Do I need to be able to receive e-invoices?
It is becoming more and more important. The government already asks for e-invoices, and with ViDA the EU is working towards mandatory e-invoicing for cross-border business transactions from 2030. A package that supports UBL and Peppol is ready for that.
Is scan and recognise still needed?
As long as suppliers send PDFs, yes. Scan and recognise is often part of invoice processing software, but is also offered separately.
